The different versions showed differences in motorization, carried weapons, armor and the differentials. The production of version "H" began in autumn 1940 and the tank was equipped with the new "HLM 120 TRM" motor made by the Maybach Company. Tracks and wheels were also changed, according to the higher weight accused by a new turret which carried the stronger "KwK 38" cannon and additional armor. The new version should bring more fire power to the battlefield, especially against enemy tanks. The information about the produced vehicles differs from 400 to more than 1000 pieces.
