Description
Current Lot EARLY CAST-IRON MILLS LIBERTY BELL - FRUIT - GUM VENDOR. Circa 1910, Mills manufactured three varieties of this cast-iron machine. All three were basically the same with the exception of the front door casting. The cast-iron sides depict a scene of looking from a distance at the Statue of Liberty with the New York City skyline directly behind. This example is emblazoned with the words "Liberty Bell - Fruit -Gum" on the front casting / door. Further adding to the desirability of this machine is a cast-iron side vendor (replacement) that would dispense a package of gum upon every play. Machine has been professionally restored and is in proper working order. SIZE: 15" x 15" x 22". CONDITION: Overall condition is very fine plus; front door is a very well made non-iron replacement. Side vendor trip mechanism not present. 1-8939 (7,500-9,500)
