Description
The 1912 Model T Ford you are viewing is the ultimate prize for your private car collection. There is only one like it anywhere in the world. What makes it so rare and desirable? The fact that it is an exact duplicate of the 1912 T in Quarter (1/4) Scale. This beautiful little mechanical marvel was the result of one man's passion for the Model T. So great his passion that he spent 14 years of the last part of his life building it. Yes besides being a lover of automobiles, he was an incredibly talented and dedicated machinist, not to mention an artist in the truest sense of the word. I have owned every mechanical art form he made and I am proud that I was able to find worthy homes for those prized collectables with those who truly appreciate such works of art. As magnificent as they all were, none were as beautifully created as this 1912 Model T. Every part was made from blue-prints of the original full-size car. This is a nut and bolt re-creation and is exactly like the real car, only in miniature. As you look at the pictures you will see that even the Buzz Coils were created in miniature. I have not run the car since I purchased it, however the museum I bought it from assured me that it was run briefly by the builder. The engine runs on gasoline ( or coleman fuel) just like the real car. After all it is a real car, just a little too small for you and I to drive down the street. Even the transmission works like Henry designed it! Just look at the beautifully made hard-wood spoked wheels, the tiny kerosene lamps and yes real carbide head-lamps too. The radiator alone is a work of art. The tiny tire pump and jack in the pictures also work like their full-size counter-parts. The beautiful black leather interior will make any upholstery shop envious. The engine cranks over just like the real car too. See the little crank handle? You can get an idea of the size by looking at the picture with the Model T Book and the ones showing the Dupont Registry. Yes dear collectors, this is in fact the very same car that graced the pages of the Dupont Registry, Robb Report and others and was offered for a time at $275,000.00 USD. Before I came to own it, it was displayed in the Ford Museum and in a private collection for several years. I have a lot of money invested in this little car and I have mixed feelings about offering it for sale . Take this opportunity to own a masterpiece. It is the only one like it in the world!
