This came in a collection and was not sure what it was until i googled it. It is in excellent condition with just slight red paint wear on the left side of ring, however, red color is still there just lighter than rest of red on ring. Other paint all seems fine as does the compass. Below is a description of what i found out about the ring from hakes collectibles ..... One of the great all-time ring designs w/no text but attributed to Captain Marvel c. 1946. Done in brass w/adjustable bands and each side has brass lightning bolts against black enamel paint bkg. Top of ring has high relief w/slanted sides and a working compass under glass at top center. Various segments feature rocket control panel buttons as well as several different lightning bolt designs. Brass finish is brighter than usual. Great example. Exc. and scarce. This example looks about the same as theirs, except for the slight red wear as mentioned above, but again the wear is on the side and there is still some red present.
