Included in this set is: Lionel 2379, RIO GRANDE F3 A & B ENGINE, complete with original boxes.  The A ENGINE piece has some very minor scuffs and decal aging, which can be seen in the close-up photos of the engine (please email for photos).  The BATTERY compartment is clean with NO signs of corrosion.  The underside of ALL pieces appears clean and in, what I would consider, excellent condition.  The B piece is in excellent condition. The original boxes to each piece are both in very good condition with some age discoloration.  Also included are: (1) ORANGE OPERATING BARREL CAR, 3562-75 with its box - the car is what I would consider excellent to nearly like new; the boxes are very good and it has the original direction sheet which shows age yellowing and jagged edges. (1) ERIE ANIMATED GONDOLA CAR, 3444 with its box -- the car is what I would consider excellent to nearly like new and the box is very good; the direction sheet is very good. (1) RED BOX CAR M&STL, 6464-525 with its box -- the car is what I would consider excellent to nearly like new and the box is very good. (1) OPERATING BLUE GENERATOR CAR, complete with two sliding doors on each side of the car and its own power pole and light, #3530 (8-56)with its box -- this car is also what I would consider excellent to nearly like new and the box is very good; the direction sheet is very good. (1) D&RGW LIGHTED CABOOSE, #6657 (6-57) with its box -- this car is what I would consider excellent to nearly like new and the box is very good. Also included is a bag of miscellaneous parts and envelopes One transformer w/instruction sheet -- the green light comes on when plugged in, but I do not know if it works properly or not...I have not tested it other than to plug it in.  (20) SUPER O TRACK PIECES -- 8 straight pieces and 12 curved pieces with a How to Assemble sheet. The original Brown Lionel Train box which the set came in plus booklet about Lionel Trains (1958) -- the box is fair to poor (it has all its flaps but has to be held together with tape); the booklet is fair to poor on the cover -- the inside pages are in good condition. I honestly believe this LIONEL TRAIN SET would be a welcome addition to any collection and a wonderful gift for that special TRAIN LOVER on your gift list!
