The magician draws attention to a red carpet being supported in mid air only by two standing swords and a thin screen. The assistant is placed on top of the carpet and then the screen is removed, leaving the assistant balancing on top of the two swords. Then, much to the amazement of the audience, the swords are removed from under the carpet, leaving the assistant suspended in mid air. This trick is designed to levitate a volunteer of around 100 pounds, so it's perfect for children's parties. Or, you can levitate a pet, too. The best part of the trick is that you can pass a hoop around the volunteer once the swords are removed to prove there are no wires holding the volunteer up.
